I am currently the PTSD/SUD Coordinator Psychologist at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. I also have additional expertise in military suicide prevention and in providing end-of-life care and support to patients and families.
My past clinical placements have included work at the Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, the Comprehensive Cancer Patient Support Program at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, and the UNC Charlotte Counseling Center. I have additional experience applying compassion-focused approaches with individuals convicted of domestic or sexual violence, and conducting ABA therapy with individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
I also have extensive experience working with the Department of Defense to support trauma/suicide prevention clinical research interventions for OEF/OIF Veterans.
Assessment
I have expertise in psychological testing for intellectual, personality, and academic functioning. I also have expertise in psychosocial assessments for bone-marrow/stem-cell transplant compatibility.
